An
Ultra-Lite landed at our field
on 8/27/02 about 9 am. The young captain, named Paul (last name unknown),
had engine trouble and spotted our field! Lucky for him! After landing,
Paul called his father in Spanaway who brought up a spare engine. It took
them only about 30 minutes to change the 50 pound engine that apparently
had oil seal problems! After replacing the engine, a pre-flight
test, and the rollout, he took off. He then did 2 fly by's for the 6 RAMS
present, with one touch and go! A great show! Too bad only a few RAMS
were present to watch.
Lucky
for us, Ron Schlaht just happened to be there and have a camera! Thanks
